Job Summary

Trans-United Consultants Ltd is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in manual machining and a strong understanding of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produces machined parts by setting up and operating manual machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping records.
  • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans, and selecting the appropriate materials and specifications.
  • Sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting tools, attachments, and stock pushers, and indicating vices.
  • Loads feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position and verifying settings by measuring positions and sample workpieces.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations, and taking measurements to detect malfunctions and troubleshoot processes.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, and completes preventive maintenance requirements to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs, and updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
