Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Benefits Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the complete payroll cycle, managing and monitoring all social benefits, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource person for all questions relating to payroll and benefits.
  • Ensure proper time entry and approval of timesheets.
  • Process regular employee payroll and other remuneration elements.
  • Prepare government remittances.
  • Support managers with questions related to employees' timesheets and payroll.
  • Produce employment records for all employees.
  • Answer employee questions about payroll and benefits.
  • Ensure the end-of-year process, including T4 and Relevé 1.
  • Produce various financial reports relating to payroll and benefits.
  • Participate in the end-of-fiscal and calendar year process.
  • Actively support the director in managing the group insurance program.
  • Ensure follow-up of salary insurance files and work accident files.
  • Implement and manage an RRSP program with employer contribution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) - level 2.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in payroll and benefits management.
  • Experience in managing group insurance, retirement plans, and CSST.
  • Excellent advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge of a payroll system.
  • Experience in international payroll processing is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Google suite is an asset.
  • Spoken and written bilingualism (French and English).
  • Knowledge of different Canadian and US provincial legislations is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the ADP payroll system is an asset.
  • Autonomy and excellent work organization.

  • Good analytical skills and priority management.
  • Great ability for teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
