Job Title: Junior Teacher - LTO Assignment

We are seeking a qualified Junior Teacher to join our team at St. Marguerite D'Youville Catholic Elementary School for a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) assignment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching elementary students and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach elementary students in a Catholic school setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Education Degree and good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Qualifications appropriate to the position
  • Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
  • Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation, and assessment techniques
  • Current understanding of research, integrating technology, and best instructional practices
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment
