We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervision Aide to join our team at School District #39 (Vancouver). As a Supervision Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during recess and lunch periods.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise students during recess and lunch, indoors and outdoors, in all kinds of weather.
- Ensure student safety and that students comply with school rules.
- Intervene in potentially unsafe play situations and facilitate conflict resolutions between students.
- Supervise students between recess and lunch, ensuring appropriate behavior and completion of teacher-assigned work.
- Walk and stand for the duration of the shift, which is mostly outdoors.
- Circulate the school grounds, focus on your surroundings, and remain alert at all times.
- Experience working with children in large groups.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather.
- Ability to speak languages common to ESL students is an asset.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $26.82, plus 16% in lieu of benefits. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse school district, making a positive impact on the lives of our students.
