In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role within the security team, ensuring the safety and protection of the staff, property, company assets, and esteemed guests at all times. Your commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, supporting team members, and providing precise reports will be essential. The Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a visible presence, patrolling guest areas, managing crowd control, and escorting guests and employees as necessary.

Throughout your shift, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including regulating access to the facility and sensitive areas, assisting visitors, managing lost and found items, monitoring alarm systems, controlling and distributing keys, documenting incidents, maintaining a daily log, and conducting investigations. Additionally, you may be called upon to administer first aid and medical assistance when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees and directs team performance while actively engaging in security operations.
  • Manages training, coaching, human resources, safety, and recruitment needs of the security team.
  • Observes floor activity: identifies suspicious behavior, communicates with management and surveillance teams.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service by welcoming guests, addressing inquiries, and offering solutions.
  • Escorts individuals within the premises and parking areas; may provide first aid; conducts interviews and investigations; prepares reports.
  • Adheres to all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean and safe condition, free from hazards and debris.
  • Executes all job responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Complies with departmental quality standards.
  • Performs other related and compatible duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in security and relevant training is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Completion of Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training/exam prior to commencement (employer will provide sponsorship) OR a valid security license and completion of GSO training/exam within a specified timeframe.
  • Completion of Serving It Right training prior to starting.
