Our Sterile Processing Department is a dynamic, collaborative, quality-focused team comprising 22 members, with experience levels ranging from 6 months to 37 years.

The procedures conducted within our health system encompass cardiology, orthopedics, dental, endocrine, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, robotics, gynecology, labor and delivery, neurology, urology, and bariatrics.

As a cohesive unit, we process between 2,500 and 15,000 instruments daily.

Key Responsibilities:

The CSSP Service Line Specialist is accountable for managing the daily operations of a designated service line and executing initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the organization.

They collaborate closely with leadership, clinical teams, physicians, and other stakeholders to optimize workflows, streamline processes and instrument inventory, implement best practices, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service line.

They cultivate a culture of quality and safety within the sterile processing department.

Qualifications:

Education:
Required - High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
College degree in Surgical Technology, Business Management, Materials/Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, or a relevant field of study.

Experience:
~ Minimum of one year of recent experience in Central Supply, Sterile Processing, and/or Surgical Services required.

(The above requirements can be satisfied by an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification:
Must possess CRCST or CSPDT certification or obtain the credential within 9 months of accepting the position.
Candidates should also have achieved advanced/additional sterile processing credentials.
Surgical Techs with the CST credential and appropriate experience may be considered.
Other Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Familiarity with instrument tracking software is preferred.
