We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead our Land Development team in Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering complex land development projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design team to establish scope, budget, and schedule for land development projects.
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, and regulatory agencies to establish design objectives for submissions.
- Pursue project financial targets and implement quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Provide technical support to project teams for tendering, contract administration, and construction inspection tasks.
- Maintain internal project governance standards and keep clients informed of project status.
- Engage with clients, architects, planners, and other industry leaders to generate awareness of GHD and its capabilities.
- Ensure project design records and files are optimally managed and in accordance with GHD standards.
- Coordinate staffing resources to meet project deadlines for multiple projects concurrently.
- Liaise with municipalities, clients, and other approval agencies in the pursuit of approvals and general coordination of work plans.
- Post-secondary (college/university) civil engineering education.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in design and management of land development projects.
- Strong technical understanding of the core land development design and approval process.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills.
- Working knowledge of the Planning Act and development application processes in Ontario.
- Professional Engineer (designation is an asset).
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to lead by example and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to simultaneously coordinate multiple projects.
- Challenge-driven and supportive of a team environment.
