Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Laboratory Assistant will undertake a variety of essential tasks, including:

  • Collecting blood and specimen samples from patients.
  • Preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Conducting routine laboratory tests.
  • Distributing specimens to various departments and external laboratories.
  • Operating laboratory equipment and entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
  • Performing clerical duties and ECG testing as required.
