Food Service Team Lead

We are a dynamic coffee shop looking for a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading our team of baristas and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food and beverages.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that our customers receive excellent service.
- Food and Beverage Preparation: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that food and beverages meet our quality control standards.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operations and Administration: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Work Setting: Coffee shop
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment
- Client Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with customers and staff.
- Initiative: Proactive and able to take initiative to resolve customer complaints or concerns.
- Participation: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
- Recruitment: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Cultural Competency: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Participation: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
- Cultural Competency: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Awareness Training: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Participation: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
