Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and analyze requests for engineering applications and systems based on user requirements.
- Provide advanced support for BIM/CAD and engineering application software across WSP Americas.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, the Engineering Software Support Team, and the Information Management Team to leverage CAD/BIM expertise for automating essential engineering processes.
- Oversee the introduction and utilization of new and updated engineering software products within WSP Americas and on significant individual projects.
- Advise on the selection of suitable engineering software tools and document collaboration systems (e.g., BIM360/ACC, ProjectWise, ArcGIS, SharePoint Online).
- Engage in formalizing requirements, testing, and acceptance processes for new Engineering applications, ensuring successful deployment onto client machines in collaboration with WSP's managed Service Desk and on-site services teams.
- Assist in developing training and change management strategies for the adoption of Engineering application tools and software throughout the organization.
- Maintain technical support documentation and knowledgebase articles for Engineering applications, sharing relevant insights with team members and business users.
- Conduct system testing, manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and coordinate the deployment of new Engineering applications onto client machines.
- Continuously enhance processes related to engineering application delivery in partnership with WSP collaborators.
- Support the management of engineering application licensing and related reporting.
- Stay informed about industry trends and standards in engineering and design systems.
- Identify training needs for users of various engineering software applications; recommend and facilitate training sessions.
- Provide communication and support to end users.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in IT or Computer Science, or 5-7 years of experience in supporting engineering applications.
- Experience with engineering software (including AutoCAD, Revit, ProjectWise, BIM360/ACC) is advantageous.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written).
- Proficiency in French and Spanish is highly desirable.
- A high-level working knowledge of ACC/BIM360, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.
- Preferable experience on major infrastructure projects.
- Experience in Digital Engineering processes and management practices.
