Job Title: Commercial Project Supervisor

As a key member of the Kootenay Woodlands Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth progression of various tasks related to cutting permit acquisition and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and complete all activities associated with Cutting Permit and Road Permit Acquisitions, including Appraisals, Site Plans, Engineered Cost Estimates, etc.
  • Collaborate with Indigenous partners and the Canfor Forest Planning Team to ensure activities are conducted in compliance with all applicable Occupational Health and Safety Requirements, Forestry Legislation, Canfor's Environmental Policy, Forestry Principles, and Forestry Management System.

  • Manage and complete all activities associated with Cutting Permit and Road Permit Acquisitions, including Appraisals, Site Plans, Engineered Cost Estimates, etc.
Requirements:
  • Associated university degree or technical diploma with related forestry experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable BC forestry and related legislation and policies.
  • Ideal candidate has experience working with Indigenous groups and a past in archeological surveys, riparian & eco classification, terrain stability, and visual impact assessments.
  • Basic GIS skills such as map making and some previous fieldwork.
