Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Specialist to join our team at Teamrecruiter. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for orchestrating and implementing robust Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines for various data product builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead or be part of a team responsible for extracting knowledge from data by applying various techniques and theories, including machine learning, computer programming, statistics, data engineering, pattern recognition, and visualization.
  2. Design, orchestrate, and develop high-performance and robust ETL pipelines leveraging cloud-native tools.
  3. Integrate DevOps practices into the development workflow using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices.
  4. Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval systems for analytical needs.
  5. Provide expertise in data modeling (star or snowflake schema) to enhance data flow and query performance, supporting data product delivery.
  6. Hands-on experience with building and managing data products, from initial concept through to deployment, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and user requirements.
  7. Understanding of data product marketplaces and their key data governance components, including data quality, metadata, data lineage, accessibility, and standardization.
  8. Demonstrate a strong commitment to data security and compliance to protect sensitive information and enforce data governance in enterprise platforms.
  9. Work across a variety of technology stacks, including Azure, Cloudera, Snowflake, and PowerBI.
  10. Experience with Python and SQL in the context of building data pipelines.
  11. Experience working with big data technologies.
  12. Experience in data analytics.
  13. Design and create dashboards and custom reporting with various data sources and inputs.
  14. Provide insights, support decision-making, and facilitate strategic business planning across the department.
  15. Provide executives and decision-makers with a deeper understanding of their operations, transactions, services, and information required for them to identify new opportunities that can only be uncovered through analytics.
  16. Provide depth and insight to data produced by various teams and transform them into meaningful analytics for decision-making.
  17. Ensure delivery processes are robust, of high quality, and repeatable.
  18. Provide strategic agility and the ability to make sense of large amounts of disparate data to tell a cohesive story focused on key strategic decision-making for executives.
  19. Integrate both quantitative and qualitative data to create business insights.
  20. Analyze data and prepare information results.
  21. Gather and document client requirements.
  22. Design and construct information products.
  23. Capture business and technical metadata for information products.
  24. Establish and operate control processes, including schedule management, status reporting, issues, risk, and change management at the program level.
  25. Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.
  26. Work within a multi-vendor/staff environment.
Qualifications

Education and Level of Work Experience Requirements:

  1. University graduation in Computing Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Engineering (ENG), Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline, with 6 years of progressive related experience.
  2. OR 2-year diploma in CS, IT, ENG, MIS, or a related discipline, with 8 years of progressive related experience.
  3. OR 1-year certificate in CS, IT, ENG, MIS, or a related discipline, with 9 years of progressive related experience.
  4. OR 10 years of progressive related experience.

Must-Have Skills:

  1. 3 years of experience building high-performance, scalable, and robust ETL pipelines in distributed clusters.
  2. 3 years of experience in creating Microsoft-SQL database solutions.
  3. 5 years of experience with projects that involved data science, data engineering, and/or AI.
  4. 3 years of experience integrating DevOps practices into the development workflow using CI/CD best practices.
  5. 5 years of experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to plan and design creative solutions.
  6. 4 years of experience with dimensional modeling techniques.
  7. 3 years of experience with Python development.
  8. 4 years of experience with relational database modeling techniques.
  9. 4 years of experience working in a data warehouse/business intelligence or relevant data environment in either a development or support role.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  1. 5 years of direct, hands-on experience with design and implementation of data security, data privacy, policies, data de-identification/anonymization, data audits/reviews, synthetic data.
  2. 5 years of experience in Agile project methodology.
  3. 4 years of building analytical and quantitative analysis models.
  4. 5 years of experience in understanding complex business questions and framing the right analytical question to solve a business problem.
  5. 5 years of experience using Hadoop, Microsoft SQL, and unstructured data. Must have a background with unstructured data, in the form of social media, video feeds, or audio.
  6. 4 years of experience with projects spanning multiple technical environments.
  7. 4 years of experience working across both business and technology.

  1. Ability to manage stress and conflict.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
  3. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, and vendors.
