About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our production team at Fresh Choice Foods Distribution & Service as a Meat Packaging Specialist. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics: Safely transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the facility.
  • Machine Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, and feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers.
  • Packaging and Quality Control: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, and ensure that all products meet quality standards.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program that supports the integration of newcomers and refugees into the workforce.
  • Support for Youths: Participate in a government or community program that supports youth employment, and offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program that supports Indigenous people, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
