Position Overview

The role of a Food Quality Control Technician is essential in ensuring the highest standards of product safety and quality within the food and beverage industry. This position involves a range of responsibilities aimed at maintaining compliance with established quality benchmarks.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent experience is required.
Work Environment

The technician will be working in a food and beverage processing facility, contributing to the overall quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to uphold product integrity.
  • Utilizing MS Office for documentation and reporting.
  • Assisting in the formulation of sampling and analysis programs to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participating in the development of health and safety protocols.
  • Compiling and interpreting records of experimental or analytical results.
  • Conducting sampling and analysis programs to maintain quality control.
  • Facilitating safety training sessions for staff.
  • Sampling products, performing tests, and accurately recording data.
  • Inspecting both finished and pre-finished products for quality assurance.
  • Evaluating materials and equipment for adherence to quality standards.
  • Developing and executing production, inventory, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Conducting routine laboratory tests and sample analyses.
  • Monitoring product quality throughout the production process.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures during product transfers and reactions.
  • Establishing programs of analysis to guarantee quality control of raw materials and final products.
  • Assessing testing techniques for quality control effectiveness.
Analytical Skills
  • Proficient in sampling techniques.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
