Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse in the Telemetry Unit is responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role is essential in ensuring high standards of safety and quality in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Utilizing a holistic approach, the Licensed Practical Nurse will:

  • Provide exceptional care to patients with complex medical needs, ensuring adherence to established protocols and practices.

  • Manage a diverse workload efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of recent nursing experience in an acute care environment.
  • Certification in medication administration, IV therapy, and Coronary Care Level 1 (or a commitment to obtain within specified timeframes).
  • Strong clinical skills, including patient assessment, care planning, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with relevant health regulations and standards of practice.
