Bakery Manager Job Description

The Bagel House is seeking a skilled Bakery Manager to oversee the production of our delicious baked goods. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the baking process, including preparing dough, batters, and icings according to recipes and customer orders.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and maintain quality standards.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Operate machinery and equipment to prepare and package baked goods.
  • Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to promote our products and drive sales.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Work Environment:

The Bagel House is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As a Bakery Manager, you will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects. You will also be expected to work under pressure to meet customer demand and maintain quality standards.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues.
Language:

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
