The Centre de recherche de l'Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a technician/research assistant. Our laboratory focuses on elucidating molecular mechanisms of growth, invasion, and drug resistance in brain cancer using in vitro 3D cell culture, high-throughput genomic sequencing, and computational biology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the laboratory and performing experimental tasks, including cell culture, RNA extraction, molecular cloning, and immunofluorescence imaging.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects, including human embryonic stem cell culture and gene knockdown/knockout approaches.
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory and the success of research projects.
- Participate in data analysis and interpretation, and contribute to the preparation of research reports and publications.
Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Experience in laboratory settings, preferably in a research environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
