Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driving Instructor to join our team at Canadian Drivers College. As a Driving Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching individuals the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain a driver's license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Training: Demonstrate and explain the handling and mechanical operation of motor vehicles to students.
  • Instruction and Supervision: Instruct individuals on proper motor vehicle driving skills and traffic regulations, and supervise students during practice driving.
  • Vehicle Operations: Ensure that all vehicles used for training are in good working condition and meet the necessary safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles).
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: The work environment will be a driving school setting, with a focus on providing a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this job include sitting for long periods, driving, and standing.
Personal Suitability
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral communication skills are required to effectively teach and communicate with students.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with students, colleagues, and management.
