Experience

Work Environment
  • Work will be conducted in various locations, primarily on the road.
Key Responsibilities
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Load and unload cargo efficiently.
  • Operate and navigate straight or articulated trucks for transporting goods.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and relay pertinent information.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Handle and transport hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Must possess an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is required.
Documentation Skills
  • Familiarity with accident reports, bills of lading, and driver logbooks.
  • Ability to complete inspection and maintenance reports.
  • Knowledge of trans-border documentation and trip reports.
Equipment and Technology
  • Experience with tractor-trailer units.
  • Proficient in using communication systems such as CB radios and trip recorders.
Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel internationally and cross-border.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods and overnight.
Physical Demands
  • Capable of handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg or 100 lbs).
  • Must be prepared for physically demanding tasks and repetitive activities.
