The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is a dynamic charity dedicated to strengthening the foundations of communities through opportunities for personal growth, community involvement, and leadership.

We have been offering programs and services to the North Bay and Greater Sudbury communities for decades, with a strong focus on health and wellness.

This full-time position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the YMCA branch, including the Health and Wellness department, in accordance with the Association's charitable purpose, annual plan, and strategic direction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, directing, and evaluating the delivery of programs and services in Health and Wellness, as well as contributing to the development of operational goals and priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing human, material, and financial resources
  • Developing and implementing quality measures
  • Ensuring compliance with association standards, policies, and procedures
  • Providing leadership to the Health, Fitness, and Aquatics operation

Requirements include:

  • University degree or college diploma in business administration, recreation and leisure services, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a leadership/management/supervisory role in a not-for-profit environment
  • Active in community development
  • Solid understanding of social services at the local, provincial, and federal level
