Job Title: Vehicle Shiftter

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing the coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers, as well as moving and maneuvering equipment into position for package handling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares work zones with suitable equipment in accordance with current guidelines.
  • Assists with organizing specified set-ups.
  • Unloads incoming packages manually or using a machine.
  • Checks the quantity and condition of delivery units.
  • Scans packages using the correct equipment.
  • Sorts packages according to defined processes and stores them in designated areas.
  • Fills out documentation and validates information on appropriate media.
  • Repositions vehicles according to established dock plans.
  • Cleans work environments during or after operations.
  • Reports any malfunctions to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of package handling principles.
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience driving vehicles (preferred).
