Job Title: Community Mental Health Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Mental Health Worker to join our team at JAZ Community Support Limited. As a Community Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health disabilities and other socio-economic needs.

Work Environment

You will work in a community agency setting, providing support to clients in their homes or in our agency. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Implement life skills workshops to support clients in achieving their goals
  • Assess client skill strengths and development needs, and develop personalized support plans
  • Provide housekeeping and food preparation support to clients
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support
  • Assist clients with special needs, including those with physical disabilities
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Will train individuals with no prior experience
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
