About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Care Clinic team at Shoppers Drug Mart / Pharmaprix. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments to prescribe new medications or extend existing medications
  • Provide travel health consultations and chronic disease management via medication reviews
  • Administer medications by injection and perform point of care screening/swabs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to establish circles of care for patients
  • Counsel patients on prescription medication use and provide dispensary and pharmacy workflow support
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Alberta Pharmacist License
  • Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) certification or currently pursuing certification
  • Injection Certification required
  • A minimum level C First Aid certification
  • Additional accreditations are an asset (e.g., CDE, CRE, CTH, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HealthWATCH pharmacy software an asset
