Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Geriatrics

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a long-term care setting.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to residents in a nursing home setting. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and monitor therapeutic and side effects
  • Conduct specimen collection and ensure infection control
  • Monitor nutritional intake and vital signs
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, as well as safety and health education to residents and their families
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide technical assistance to surgeons and other healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills
