Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Geriatrics

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our elderly patients in a long-term care setting.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients with various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and monitor patients' responses
  • Conduct specimen collection and ensure infection control
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and record observations
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
  • Assist with respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide safety and health education to patients and their families
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse in the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
