- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services, including manufacturer-specific vehicles and rebate, finance, and incentive programs.
- Project a positive attitude and provide a professional image to customers and colleagues.
- Ensure all work is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely manner.
- Work effectively without supervision and attend training classes as scheduled by management.
- Answer customer service phone calls and ensure customer car quotes are competitive and reasonable.
- Keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicle's delivery and inform them when vehicles are ready to be picked up.
- Stay up-to-date on new equipment, features, and tools available and recommend purchases.
- Account for all documents and ensure none are missing.
- Follow up with the factory and distributors regarding late vehicle deliveries.
- Comply with strict regulations and requirements of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC).
- Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times.
- Comply with all company policies, standards, and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Automotive sales experience is an asset.
- OMVIC certification is required.
- Dealer CRM system experience is an asset.
- Must have a valid Ontario driver's license and good driving record.
- Strong computer skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to be flexible under changing conditions.
- Ability to be creative and persuasive in negotiating.
