Senior Manager Policy Governance

What is the Opportunity?
This role will be responsible for assessing RBC Bank's compliance with the Enterprise Policy Management framework and ensuring all appropriate documentation is in place and on time. The Senior Manager, Policy Governance, will also assess the design and effectiveness of Risk Management Policies, Standards, and Procedures and ensure documentation aligned to those Policies and Standards are appropriate.
This position will provide oversight and assistance as the Internal Audit liaison and will also work with RBC Bank Compliance on external audit deliverables for all of RBC Bank Risk Management. The role will also assist in delivering requests from both Enterprise and CUSO as it relates to RBC Bank Enterprise Risk and compliance with Enterprise and CUSO requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess RBC Bank's execution of Enterprise Policy Governance requirements to ensure compliance.
- Ensure Policies, Standards, and Procedures remain current to promote the safety and soundness of RBC Bank.
- Manage and support Enterprise Policy in development of new Policies.
- Chair the monthly RBC Bank Enterprise Review and Policy Committee (EP&RC).
- Ensure alignment of Policies/Standards/Procedures to control inventories, and process maps/diagrams and the Enterprise Policy Governance (RP5) requirements.
- Keep RBC Bank current on PPL enhancements, updates or policy changes.
- Report on the Bank's Risk Appetite and ensure measures remain current.
Requirements:
- College Bachelor's Degree or Higher.
- 10+ Years Management experience.
- 5+ Years Risk Policy experience.
- 3+ Years Operational Risk experience with Policy responsibilities.
- 5+ Years Credit/Lending experience with Policy responsibilities.
- Senior level experience at large financial institution in areas of Risk Management, Policy, Compliance, Internal Audit and/or Operational Risk.
- Demonstrated experience and proven results leading large scale enterprise wide projects.
- Strong understanding of Policy Governance with the ability to deliver results in leading change management processes.
- Experience in liaising with auditors and regulators.
