We are seeking a talented and results-driven Technical Systems Analyst to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Global Functions Technology division, you will play a critical role in delivering high-performing applications and innovative IT solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to assess, research, and analyze business, technical, and system needs.
  • Developing and recommending technology solutions and designs that meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Leading and facilitating detailed technical design phases to identify, track, and resolve technical issues.
  • Developing detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing, and implementation phases of projects.
  • Developing, coding, documenting, and executing unit test, system, integration, and acceptance test using different languages and testing tools.
  • Preparing high-level and detailed technical specifications and other documentation for projects.
  • Organizing and participating in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, programs, and unit test plans.
  • Developing criteria for and participating in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in development (SQL,.NET deployment, Redhat Linux).
  • Proven experience working on various applications (e.g. SaaS, on premise) with multiple functions.
  • Understanding of DEV Ops methodology and tools (e.g. GitHub, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy) and different programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C#.NET, JSON).
  • Experience working with various networking / infrastructures such as Servers, Single-Sign-On (SSO), File Transfer.
  • Excellent communication and written skills and the ability to write or support detailed technical specifications in accordance with SDLC, security, and architecture document objectives.
  • Experience working on initiatives using Iterative Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
  • Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and an analytical mind.
