Civil Engineering Technician Job Description

Mainland Engineering Consultants Corporation is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, participating in field surveys, inspections, and technical investigations, and preparing engineering designs and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings
  • Prepare project schedules
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
  • Knowledge of GPS and other navigation equipment
  • Experience in construction design and supervision, geotechnical, and land planning and development
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 32-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
