Job Title: Assistant Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chef to join our team at THE DILL PICKLE SANDWICH BAR & CAFE. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a key role in supporting our culinary team in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs to maintain profitability.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service during peak periods.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
