Role Overview:
As a Part-Time Welding Qualification Specialist, you will deliver welder qualification testing services to clients who are either applicants or certified under various CSA welding standards. This role also involves supporting the FT Certification Services Representative and may extend services to unions and accredited testing facilities. Please note that this position operates on an as-needed basis, requiring on-call availability throughout the weekdays.
This role reports to the Regional Manager, Western Operations, and involves working at client locations within the Red Deer area and its surroundings.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of welding and CSA W47.1, W47.2, and W186 welder qualification testing standards.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in one of the following areas:
- Welding experience with CWB welder qualification tickets, CWB Approved Welding Supervisor, Welding Inspection, or Educator/Trainer background.
- Technical expertise and understanding of the welding and joining sector.
- A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are essential for travel.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Windows / MS Office (Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- CWB Approved Welding Supervisor certification.
- CSA W178.2 Level 1 or 2 Inspector.
- Journeyman Welder with over 5 years of experience.
