About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Healing Hearts Care In Home Services Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as with meal preparation and serving.
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with toileting, transferring, and positioning, as well as with mobility and exercise routines.
  • Support with Medical Care: Take patients' vital signs, assist with medication administration, and provide basic first aid.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure patients' living areas are clean and safe, and report any concerns or incidents to management.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and respectful communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding.
