Job Title: Head Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Scanway Catering Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for our cooking staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Create innovative and delicious recipes that meet our high culinary standards.
  • Train and instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
  • Plan and execute menus that meet our quality standards and cater to diverse customer preferences.
  • Train staff in food handling, preparation, and presentation techniques to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide our kitchen team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Dependability, initiative, and a strong team player attitude.
