Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Alternative Energy initiatives at Qulliq Energy Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with funding agencies, implementing energy management plans, and overseeing project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with federal and other funding agencies to secure funding for renewable energy initiatives.
  • Energy Management: Develop and implement energy management plans to reduce our dependency on imported fossil fuels.
  • Technical Evaluations: Conduct technical evaluations of renewable energy programs, including NMP, CIPP, and IPP.
  • Document Control: Manage document control, tracking, and recording of contracts, and communicate with external and internal parties.
  • Project Development: Work with external proponents to evaluate their projects, and develop cost estimates for QEC.
  • Reporting: Prepare technical and financial reports for internal and external usage.
Requirements
  • Education: An academic degree in sustainable energy, planning, engineering, or finance.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience working in power and/or Alternative/Renewable Energy Industry.
Assets
  • PMP Designation: PMP designation will be an asset.
  • Project Management Experience: Project management experience with capital projects in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, environmental infrastructure is an asset.
  • Utility Sector Experience: Experience in the Utility sector is an asset.
  • Technical Documentation: Experience in recording and preparation of technical documentation is an asset.
  • Cultural Competence: Knowledge of Nunavut, the land, language, and culture.
  • Language Skills: The ability to communicate in Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun, and/or French.
