Specialized Claims Adjuster for General Liability

Sedgwick is seeking a highly skilled Commercial General Liability Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for effectively adjudicating specialized multiline general liability claims of various complexities within company standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of general liability claims, including establishing coverage through primary or excess policies.
- Conduct thorough investigations to assess liability and exposure, including statutory and contractual requirements.
- Evaluate damages and manage reserves based on recent developments of the file for most probable outcomes.
- Manage subrogation or tender opportunities to maximize recoveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with clients and parties involved.
- Ensure claim files are properly documented and maintained.
- Manage litigated claims by attending virtual legal proceedings, securing budgets, and case evaluations.
- Negotiate and settle claims within delegated authority.
- Complete required reporting and maintain professional client relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Support the organization's quality program(s) to ensure excellence in claims handling.
- Travel as required to meet business needs.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma preferred.
- Four (4) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Subject matter expert in insurance principles and laws for the handled line-of-business.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations.
