Director of Teaching

As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape at CIS Ontario. Your expertise and passion for education will be instrumental in driving our commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.

Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Design and Implementation: Lead the planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of a rigorous and engaging curriculum aligned with best practices and international standards.
  • Instructional Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching practices.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement robust assessment strategies that accurately measure student learning and inform instructional decisions.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to create a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Educational Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in education, and actively integrate innovative approaches into our curriculum and teaching methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a curriculum leader or instructional coach in a bilingual educational setting.
  • Deep understanding of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework and philosophy.
  • Strong pedagogical skills and a commitment to student-centered learning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Master's degree in education or a related field.
