We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant, serving a variety of delicious curries and other international dishes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and a memorable dining experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our kitchen staff with various tasks, including food preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of the kitchen area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food items, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, as well as maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen area is kept clean and free of clutter.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, ovens, and refrigerators.
  • Team Support: Provide support to kitchen staff during peak periods, and assist with tasks such as loading buspans and trays.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
