About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Painter to join our team at Metatribe Contracting Ltd. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, using airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting techniques.
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation: Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and plan work schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and supervise their work to ensure high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting and finishing.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and with odours.
  • Work Setting: Work at various locations, including exterior and interior surfaces.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding work.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and team player.
