Job Description

CS Group Canada, a leading provider of safety-critical systems solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Software Validation and Verification Specialist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough software testing in accordance with DO-178 standards to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability.
  • Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts to verify the correctness of software design and functionality.
  • Debug and resolve issues in engine control software, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Maintain accurate traceability between software design, tests, and artefacts.
  • Perform independent peer reviews of tests produced by team members, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Prepare and finalize technical documents, providing clear and concise information.
  • Provide regular status updates and workload information to the lead, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of team performance, focusing on quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 2-6 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in software testing and validation.
  • Proven experience with engine control software, with a focus on troubleshooting complex software issues.
  • Knowledge of DO-178 standards and C language, as well as scripting languages like Python.
  • Familiarity with SCADE, Matlab/Simulink, and testing tools like Rational RTRT and LDRA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, DOORS, and SVN.
  • Basic knowledge of communication protocols, including CAN, ARINC, RS-422, and Ethernet.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-player skills.
  • Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity, and ability to find solutions and compromises.
