Avionics Systems Specialist

Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance tasks on aircraft avionics systems
- Remove and replace line replaceable units and components as required
- Perform specialty work in maintenance shops as needed
- Interpret technical publications and diagrams to ensure accurate maintenance
- Maintain tools and equipment required to perform primary duties
- Order aircraft spare parts and materials as necessary
- Conduct flight line servicing operations with precision and attention to detail
- Debrief team lead as required and participate in workplace inspections and clean-ups
Requirements:
- Formal technical training in avionics systems
- Experience as an Avionics Technician with in-depth knowledge of avionics systems
- Experience in 1st and 2nd line maintenance activities
- Experience in life cycle support activities considered an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven experience as a team player
- Knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices
Security Clearance:
Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
