Role and Responsibilities

This internship is exclusively open to students pursuing an academic degree.

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to perform routine technical tasks, receive training in laboratory, office, plant, or field technical work, and utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems
  • Assisting in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated systems
  • Utilizing maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities
  • Completing designated training activities
  • Performing pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators
  • Performing basic visual alignments
  • Running automatic Qualification Test Guides
  • Assisting with refurbishment and hardware modifications
  • Learning and complying with CAE's quality management system
  • Providing customer service support and addressing customer needs in a timely manner
  • Performing housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required
  • Performing logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation
  • Performing administrative tasks as required
Requirements

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
  • Ability to interpret system prints and schematics
  • Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.)
  • Knowledge in analog and digital theory
  • Computer literacy (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture)
  • Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite
  • Fluency in English
Preferred Education

2-year technical degree or 4 years in an electronic, avionic, or technical related field.

Location and Internship Details

The internship will be carried out in person in Moose Jaw.
