Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Specialist, BC Cancer Victoria is a key role in advancing health equity and delivering high-quality, specialized cancer care. This position is part of a provincial team of CNSs working to transform and improve cancer care across BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced level nursing expertise and clinical support to a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
  • Act as a resource and consultant provincially to Senior Leadership and multi-disciplinary teams on cancer nursing best practices.
  • Lead the strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of new nursing programming at the Provincial level within BC Cancer.
  • Conduct and/or facilitate cancer nursing research to identify and incorporate best practices and evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing plus current registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
  • 5-7 years of recent related experience working in a healthcare setting with a focus in cancer care and in a progressive leadership role.
  • Certification in oncology nursing (or must obtain certification within one year of employment).

Salary and Location

The salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate's relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. The location for this role is 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 6V5.
