Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Individualized Treatment Plans
Work closely with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cancer. This will involve assessing patient needs, developing therapeutic plans, and providing education to patients and their families.
Provide Expert Clinical GuidanceProvide expert clinical guidance to healthcare teams on the use of medications and other treatments for cancer patients. This will involve staying up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines, and providing recommendations for treatment.
Collaborate with Healthcare TeamsCollaborate with healthcare teams to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care. This will involve working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
Provide Education and SupportProvide education and support to patients and their families on cancer treatment options, medication management, and other aspects of cancer care.
Contribute to Quality Improvement InitiativesContribute to quality improvement initiatives to ensure that our cancer care services are safe, effective, and patient-centered.
Requirements- Education and Experience
Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent experience. Current registration as a Licensed Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
Skills and CompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in cancer care.
Knowledge and CompetenciesKnowledge of cancer treatment options, medication management, and other aspects of cancer care. Competency in aseptic techniques, use of biological safety cabinets, and procedures for safe handling of cytotoxic drugs.
