Job Summary

Porter Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Analyst to join our Technical Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to our Director, Fleet Reliability, by analyzing aircraft system trends and delays to improve our operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trend Analysis: Collect and process in-service reliability data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Component Tracking: Track and report component reliability and failure rates to the Director, Fleet Reliability.
  • Failure Mode Analysis: Review unscheduled component removals for failure mode analysis and track NFF rates.
  • Recommendations: Provide recommendations for improvements on ATAs and aircraft systems based on trend data.
  • Liaison with Vendors: Liaise with vendors to address reliability issues and improve product performance.
  • Technical Document Review: Review OEM Service Bulletins and other technical documents to recommend implementation.
  • Reliability Reporting: Produce monthly reliability reports with corrective action recommendations for Technical Operations management.
  • Data Compilation: Compile data in support of maintenance program optimization initiatives.
  • Business Case Development: Support cross-functional teams with maintenance forecasting and business case development.
  • Safety Management: Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Labour to reconcile data and drive reliability improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in the aviation industry, preferably in engineering, reliability, or line/base maintenance operations.
  • Education: Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field an asset.
  • Skills: Strong data processing skills with ability to handle large data sets. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and data visualization software (such as Tableau, R programming). Previous experience with AMOS an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task during high-stress situations with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Strong analytical skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
