Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder Apprentice to join our team at SAM SIGNS INC. as a key member of our metal fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution: Interpret welding process specifications and execute tasks with precision and accuracy.
  • Metal Fabrication: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols in all aspects of metal fabrication.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment with regular exposure to heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Possess the physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
Required Tools and Equipment
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Provide and maintain steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves to ensure a safe working environment.
Work Schedule and Language
