AWS Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing cloud-based systems, ensuring the smooth operation of enterprise-level infrastructure. Reporting to the Associate Director of Information Technology, the key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing, overseeing, and maintaining systems on the AWS platform
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues within the AWS ecosystem
  • Conducting software updates and system patching
  • Planning and monitoring capacity for AWS resources and storage solutions
  • Collaborating with monitoring tools and supporting various teams
  • Engaging in initiatives aimed at enhancing system performance
  • Establishing backup protocols and managing recovery strategies
  • Communicating effectively with external vendors and consultants
  • Maintaining technical documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS system operations
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux operating systems, and automation tools like Ansible
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Possession of relevant AWS certifications is preferred
  • ITIL Certification is advantageous
