Residential Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Group Home Worker to join our team at Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services. As a Group Home Worker, you will play a vital role in providing daily care and supervision to children in a staffed resource unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily care and direct supervision to children in a staffed resource unit.
- Create a physically safe and emotionally nurturing environment that promotes positive behavior and development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and community partners.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and report on children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for growth.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Child Care Worker or Child & Youth Worker Diploma or higher.
- 1-2 years of experience in a group home setting or related child care experience.
- Current certification in 1st Aid/CPR/AED.
- Trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
- Must be medically fit to work in a group home setting with proof of immunizations.
- Experience working with Indigenous children and families.
- Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and Indigenous culture.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
