Position Overview

As a Flooring Installation Specialist at J & A Carpet and Flooring, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of various spaces through expert floor covering installations.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: On-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, measure, and mark surfaces designated for floor covering.
  • Cut and secure underlay and padding materials.
  • Install carpeting and resilient floor coverings with precision.
  • Prepare and lay hardwood flooring to meet quality standards.
  • Evaluate and repair any damaged flooring materials.
  • Conduct essential tests for moisture, pH, temperature, and other factors before installation.
  • Prepare surfaces adequately for new installations.
  • Remove existing floor coverings and any contaminants.
  • Utilize specialized tools, including knee kickers, to ensure proper carpet stretching.
