Position Overview

Academica Group is seeking an experienced Director of Advancement to lead a diverse team dedicated to enhancing our fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and alumni relations. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will provide strategic direction to initiatives that align with our organizational goals and mission. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to strengthen our global alumni network and develop programs that enhance lifelong relationships with our institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Manage capital campaigns and other fundraising initiatives, demonstrating a successful track record in securing significant donations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the philanthropic community.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and adherence to strategic objectives.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, crafting compelling proposals and development materials.
  • Utilize strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset to engage key stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to accountability, collaboration, and creativity in all endeavors.
  • Develop and implement annual and long-term fundraising strategies, including budget management.
  • Embrace the institution's rich history and uphold our commitment to social justice and equity.
  • Bring over 10 years of progressive experience in senior fundraising roles, preferably within a higher education context.
  • A university degree is required; a CFRE designation is an asset.
