About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Lee's Overseas Delights. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
    • Portion and wrap foods
  • Inventory Management
    • Keep records of the quantities of food used
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
    • Handle and store cleaning products
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Team Support
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to resolve any issues or concerns

  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • Will train

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
